arrows SUPER SLEEPER

A prospective Subaru customer approached us about his brand-new 2008 Legacy 2.5GT spec.B. Coming from the high-power world of German autobahn cruisers such as the BMW M3 and Mercedes AMG, he was in a bit of a predicament. The Subaru had the style and look he wanted, but was lacking in the power department.

So we created a special package of upgraded parts (including SPT hardware) that have boosted the power level to over 400 hp on a combination of 91 octane fuel and Aquamist water injection. The car looks stock on the outside, is just as quiet as a stock spec.B, but has improved grip and handling thanks to a COBB suspension package, more than 100 additional horses, and still retains 26 mpg. All for a total cost that was less than HALF of what he spent on the German’s best offerings.

The car’s exterior appearance is no different than stock, making this a super sleeper! Built and tuned by Andrew Ashman/Ben West of AutoMax STS of Norman, OK.

arrows BUILT IN NEW HAMPSHIRE

I have owned a 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX since getting out of college and have done all the modification myself. I am extremely proud of my build. I started off with exterior mods, such as a version 2 front lip – which was soon destroyed around the streets of New Hampshire – and my audio system.

I’ve always been a fan of my music, so clear music was essential. I replaced all four speakers with Alpine Type-S, 6.5’s in the front and 5.25 in the rear. I added two Alpine Type-R 10-inch subs, powered by an Alpine 600 WRMS amp, and tied everything together through the Alpine W200 headunit.

I also wanted the car to go as fast as it looked and sounded, so I started with a turboback exhaust. I have a Stromung Shorty downpipe, which flows to a Stromung midpipe and exits through a Borla® Hush cat-back exhaust. I added in a Helix Uppipe to free up some more fumes.

I also added a K&N Typhoon® intake and CXRacing top-mount intercooler to help bring down air temps under the hood. I had the car tuned through TDC Tuning.

Finally, I needed a way to get the power to the street, so I choose some BFGoodrich g-Force™ tires wrapped on Rota Tarmac 2 rims. Holding the wheels to the ground are a set of Prodrive springs.

I would like to thank my girlfriend for her love and support, TDC Tuning, SubyDude, YoParts.com (among other vendors), newenglandsubarus.com, and NASIOC.com.
